This cold came at such a bad time.

Despite his fever and headache, his serious cough and hoarse voice, Zhou Bai could not rest from working; something had gone wrong with the contract that a top-tier movie star had promised to sign with Bai Sheng Film Co.

This was something that he had to personally attend to, thus Zhou Bai had no choice but to drag his sickly body to catch a flight. 

Jian Ci grew worried looking at his ailing appearance. Early that morning, he prepared a mask and some flu medicine, but Zhou Bai was still discontented. Leaning against the sofa, he spoke with a lisp, “Tsk, I have ulcers in my mouth.”

“Where?” Jian Ci went to get the watermelon frost.

“Three places…” Zhou Bai opened his mouth, “Here, here, and on the tongue.”

“That’s so terrible, how heaty you must have been,” Jian Ci said in admiration.

Zhou Bai wore a face of lifelessness.

After spraying on some watermelon frost, Jian Ci checked his temperature, “37.8 degrees, why don’t you just stay home.”

“I can’t, they won’t be able to settle it on their own,” Zhou Bai was fidgety. 

“Okay then,” Jian Ci lamented, “It’s so tough for a president to earn money too.”

“Come with me,” Zhou Bai suddenly added.

“Can’t, I still have to go to work on Monday,” Jian Ci refused.

“You can return tomorrow night.”

“…” Jian Ci looked at him.

Zhou Bai knew that he was just being unreasonable. Alone, he dragged his luggage out the door. 

After sending him off, Jian Ci wanted to return back to sleep, but he could not even after lying on the bed. 

At this moment, he was confused about his feelings towards Zhou Bai; this man had entered his life out of the blue, and since they interact day and night, it’s impossible to not have developed feelings. In fact, they even depended on each other. 

Jian Ci felt that he is unable to restrain himself anymore, and he couldn’t help but to place his attention on Zhou Bai. Sometimes, he would even have a delusion that they married out of love for each other. Truthfully, he lacks self-confidence. Does Zhou Bai really like him, or is he merely just used to living with him; Jian Ci could not tell at all.

He wished to act on his own volition, but he was afraid that he thought too highly of himself.

Liking someone is such an easy yet difficult task.
