EP 01

Zhou Bai was 35 this year, and had remarried twice.

Now, he was single.

His father first raised their family through repairing bicycles, before moving on to fixing cars. When it was Zhou Bai’s turn to take over the family business, they had already owned twelve high-end car dealership businesses. While real estate businesses were starting to bloom in the scene, he took the opportunity to establish “Bai Sheng Estate”, taking a step further to expand the Zhou family’s business territory.

In recent years, he had started advancing into the film industry. Although his placing in the list of riches was not in the top ranks, he was always a well known name in the list.

Zhou Bai had an attractive appearance, and he was tall with long legs. Be it inside or outside the industry, he had caught the attention of many. A financial magazine once conducted a survey, and Zhou Bai was chosen to be the most wanted young entrepreneur that one wanted to marry¹. Amongst those that picked him, 45% of them were female, and 55% were male. In the modern era where same-sex marriage was common, it can be said that he achieved an all-kill between both males and females.

Despite the fact that there were many who wanted to be married² to him, he could not pick up a wife³ even if he wanted to.

To be more specific, it was not him who wanted to get married, but it was his father who was urging him to find a partner. He even said that if Zhou Bai does not find a marriage partner quickly, he would reject receiving treatment for coronary heart disease.

Zhou Bai was put on the spot.

His previous two marriages ended terribly and it was not due to unhappiness after marriage nor extramarital affairs, but it was because the ladies who were married to him, had died.

¹Marry: There are two words that are used in Chinese to mean ‘marry’. 嫁 (jià) meant to marry a woman off, while 娶 (qǔ) would be to marry a wife. The former (嫁 (jià)) was used in this sentence.
²Married: 嫁 (jià) was used in this sentence too.
³Wife: 娶 (qǔ) was used in this sentence.

    1. Hello, yes we are aware and have already made the necessary changes. As it was a new novel, the bot had probably slot it into another novel with the same acronym. If it doesn’t get removed in a few days, we’ll email NU about it. Sorry if it has caused inconvenience and confusion!
